How We Help

• Through funds provided by, LBMT the Diocese of Cyangugu seeks to support needed and disadvantaged people in Rusizi District
• The main emphasis has been to help meet the spiritual, physical and intellectual needs through the work of the church in proclaiming the Gospel; teaching as well as practical, self-help and sustainable projects to benefit poor communities
• Through the Diocese network of parish pastors who know their people and care for them
• The Trust seeks to support projects to help the church in Butare Diocese, Rwanda, as well as projects in Burundi and Uganda. Donations to these areas are equally monitored.

How you can help

Through donations, whatever the amount, which will be used to directly further the work of LBMT in Cyangugu Diocese and other parts of East Africa where the Trust supports projects through the Anglican Church. You can make donations as follows:

• Donate by sending a cheque payable to LBMT to:

  Completing a Gift Aid Form allows us to reclaim tax on your donation
• It may be possible to designate the area where your money is spent as follows:
  
  • Sponsor St Matthew’s School for £100 per year, helping to pay staff salaries through central funding or £500 per year for a student at University
  • Contribute funds towards the Cyangugu Diocese School Building Programme, training and housing of pastors, rural church buildings or towards building a Guest House in Buye Diocese, Burundi
• Alternatively, you may like to donate money to be used at the discretion of LBMT. In many ways this is more useful as there are fewer administration costs. You might also like to visit the Peace Guest House or the Shalom Guest House to see the work of the Diocese of Cyangugu or Butare for yourself. You can be certain of a warm welcome and a fascinating visit.
